Complex sensor technology hidden inside a consumer fitness app

Digifit was building fitness applications for both direct consumers and enterprise white-label partners, all in a fast-moving development environment. The core challenge was making sophisticated hardware interactions — like pairing heart rate sensors and syncing real-time workout data — feel effortless to everyday users who just wanted to work out.

Digifit — challenge

Designing for speed, clarity, and physical context

I focused on sensor acquisition flows that minimized friction at the moment users were most impatient — right before a workout. Navigation was redesigned around full-screen interaction patterns that worked with sweaty hands and split attention. Dashboards were restructured to surface the data users actually needed mid-exercise, with history and performance metrics accessible without disrupting the flow state.

Digifit — approach

Experiences that held up under real workout conditions

The redesigned flows reduced drop-off during device pairing and improved overall session completion. The white-label architecture allowed the same UX foundation to scale across multiple enterprise partners without sacrificing the quality of the end-user experience.
